Before you call

  • 1Say where you are first — block and unit number, road name, or the nearest MRT station or landmark. Help can be sent while you explain the rest.
  • 2Then say what happened and whether anyone is hurt or bleeding.
  • 3Have your name, work permit or FIN number, and your employer's or dormitory's name ready.
  • 4Ask for an interpreter if English is difficult. 999, 995 and the worker helplines can find someone who speaks your language.
  • 5Stay on the line until the operator tells you it is fine to hang up.
  • 61800 numbers are free from a landline, but your mobile plan may still charge airtime.
  • 7Save these numbers in your phone today. In an emergency you may have no data left to open this page.

Numbers checked against each organisation's own website in September 2026. Opening hours and services change, so the official page linked on each card is always the final word.
