Electricity tariff fell 10.4% from 1 October: households now pay 31.16 cents per kWh with GST
If you pay an electricity bill, or share one with the people you live with, the rate dropped on 1 October and holds until 31 December.
SP Group announced on 30 September that the regulated household electricity tariff falls by 10.4%, or 3.32 cents per kWh before GST, for the period 1 October to 31 December 2026. The rate is now 28.59 cents per kWh before GST, which is about 31.16 cents with GST. SP Group said the fall is due to lower energy costs, and warned that fuel prices have risen since September, so the tariff could go back up for the next quarter. This is the price of the electricity itself, so it reaches everyone on the regulated tariff, including rented rooms where the bill is shared — that is different from the U-Save rebate, which only Singaporean HDB households receive.
