Employment Pass minimum salary rises to $6,000 from 1 January 2027, and more at older ages
New EP applications from 1 January 2027 and renewals of passes expiring from 1 January 2028 must meet the higher salary, so check the figure for your age now.
MOM lists the Employment Pass minimum qualifying salary for all sectors except financial services as $5,600 at age 23 or below today, rising with age to $10,700 at age 45 and above. From 1 January 2027 those figures become $6,000 at age 23 or below and $11,500 at age 45 and above. In financial services the entry figure goes from $6,200 to $6,600, and the figure at age 45 and above from $11,800 to $12,700. The current figures apply to new applications submitted before 1 January 2027 and to renewals of passes expiring before 1 January 2028; the new figures apply from those dates. The amount rises with every year of age, so look up the figure for your own age on the MOM Employment Pass eligibility page, and if your salary sits below the 2027 figure, raise it with your employer well before your pass is due for renewal.
