S Pass minimum salary rises to $3,600 from 1 January 2027, and to $5,100 at age 45 and above
If your S Pass expires on or after 1 January 2028, the renewal must meet the new higher minimum for your age, so raise it with your employer early.
MOM lists the S Pass minimum qualifying salary for all sectors except financial services as $3,300 at age 23 or below today, rising with each year of age to $4,800 at age 45 and above. From 1 January 2027 those figures become $3,600 at age 23 or below, rising to $5,100 at age 45 and above. In financial services the entry figure goes from $3,800 to $4,000, and the figure at age 45 and above stays at $5,650. MOM says the new figures apply to new applications submitted from 1 January 2027, and to the renewal of passes expiring from 1 January 2028. Because the amount steps up with every year of age, check the exact figure for your own age on the MOM S Pass eligibility page, and if your pay is below it, talk to your employer now rather than at renewal time.
